  1. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG): A green tea extract
  2. Curcumin: The primary polyphenol in turmeric root 
  3. Resveratrol: A phytochemical found in grapes, peanuts, Japanese knotweed
  4. Lycopene: A red carotenoid found in watermelon, pink grapefruit, and tomatoes
  5. Pomegranate extracts
  6. Luteolin: A flavonoid found in peppers and various green vegetables
  7. Genistein: A phytochemical found in non GMO soy, red clover, and coffee
  8. Piperine: A phytochemicals found in black pepper
  9. β-carotene: An orange carotenoid found in various vegetables

The researchers described the discovery that phytochemicals can selectively target CSCs as “a milestone in the improvement of cancer treatment because the synthetic anticancer drugs that are currently used are often highly toxic for healthy organs and weakens the patient’s immune system.”

Our Thoughts and Comments:

We sometimes get in the mindset that drugs are the answers to our ailments. But have you ever researched what those drugs you take are made of? 

Drugs are synthetic versions of real foods. Most are created to mimic or concentrate the active components found in foods and plants that seem to have curative properties. 

The problem is that these drugs are seen by the body as being foreign so the body tries to rid itself of them, or protect itself from them (ie. side effects of the drugs).

We are not in any way saying not to take drugs when your situation requires them for survival…just don’t make them the only solution. And do your research and determine all your options for health.
