Why Plant Protein Powder?
Protein is an important part of a healthy diet and animal sources are the most common choice. Consuming protein is especially important for breakfast because it can help stabilize your blood sugar throughout the day and anchor your circadian rythym.
Plants are a dairy-free, egg-free, allergy freeway to get some extra protein into our diets.
Pros and Cons of Plant Based Protein Powders
Many people choose plant based protein as opposed to dairy-based powders (whey or casein) due to lactose intolerance or sensitivity to dairy proteins. Dairy proteins can also raise insulin and activate some cancer-signaling pathways. See our article on dairy and its effects on our immune system.
We don’t use manufactured protein powders..because many contain ingredients that aren’t clean. Common Ingredients to Watch out for in Protein Powders Include:
- Sweeteners (artificial or refined natural)
- Artificial flavors
- Artificial colors
- Thickener or stabilizers like xanthan gum, guar gum, and lecithin
- Ingredients that may come from genetically modified (GMO) sources
- Non-organic ingredients that often are sprayed with toxic pesticides
- Vegetable oils
- Milk ingredients
- Soy protein or soy derivatives

Other Moringa Benefits
VITAMINS & MINERALS
Our main nutrients are proteins, carbohydrates and fats, but we need vitamins and minerals as well.
Moringa leaf powder is very rich in vitamins and minerals. Rich Source of Vitamins B1, B2, B3, C and E. Lots of BCAA’s.
Rich Source of natural plant calcium, magnesium, potassium, sulphur, copper and iron.
Antioxidants are molecules that prevent the oxidation of other molecules, protecting our bodies from the damaging effects of radicals. Antioxidants help slowing down the aging process.
Moringa leaf powder contains a wide range of antioxidants. In fact, there is no other known food source that contains more.
Moringa is your key to long-lasting youthful skin, it contains Zeatin which has proven studies around its anti-aging impact.
Our skin sheds hundreds of cells every minute. Zeatin in Moringa rebuilds these cells at a faster rate than they are shed thereby “filling in” the wrinkles and creating younger skin – not younger looking but actually younger skin!
A recent study conducted by Egyptian researchers and published in March 2014 demonstrated that rats fed Moringa extract reduced their fasting blood glucose levels by 2.5% and showed improvement in all other diabetic markers.
The National Institute of Health shared the conclusion that Moringa exerts protective effects diabetes and that it significant antidiabetic and antioxidant activity.
Moringa supports brain health and cognitive function. Its antioxidant and neuro-enhancer activities make it a favorable treatment for Alzheimer’s disease with favorable preliminary results.
It also fights oxidation which that leads to neuron degeneration, improves brain function, and normalizes the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine, and noradrenaline in the brain. These play a key roles in memory, mood, organ function, responses to stimulus such as stress and pleasure, and mental health, for example in depression and psychosis.
