I wanted to go on with this recipe title to share just how creamy, smooth, sweet-tasting and rich chocolate flavored this ice cream recipe is! We have tried quite a few and they all turn out to be chunky and icy with sub-par taste.
This one is shocking because it contains so much avocado – don’t shut me down yet – you can’t taste it at all! The avocado is what makes this ice cream so creamy and smooth.
It’s flavor and texture bring back the joys of the “olden” days when you could open a fresh box of ice cream and dig into the smooth creaminess of it.
This ice cream is the smoothest if churned in an ice cream maker, but the flavor is so rich it also turns out well with using a blender and freezing it until solid. Just make sure to seal your containers well to prevent freezer burn.
We make a double batch and freeze it in either a large glass container with a tight fitting lid, or in smaller dishes with lids. Just take it out about 10 -20 (depending upon how warm your house is) minutes before you want to eat it. Use a traditional ice cream scoop and fill your bowls.
This ice cream is made with healthy fats from avocado and coconut milk, and rich creamy chocolate from cacao chips. Top with our sugar free chocolate topping, whipped coconut cream, sprinkle of nuts or anything else that makes you smile and feel like your spoiling yourself.
